Surround Sound Meters –
indent supporting 96K sample rates

Monitoring your surround sound sources just got easier with our 5.1 format and 7.1 format LED meters. Each meter is packaged in a box designed to sit on a console overbridge with the meters as vertical bars.
indent The power supply is in a separate enclosure which can be located away from the console. The 5.1 format meters have six bargraphs packaged in a single
enclosure with either analog or digital inputs.
The 7.1 format meters are packaged the same way except with eight bargraphs. Both meter styles support digital sampling rates of up to 96kHz.

Analog inputs are bridging and accept balanced or unbalanced signals. A level trim control allows calibration to any reference within the range of -10 to +24 dBu for full scale indication. The digital model can accept professional or consumer digital signals and automatically locks to the sample rate of the input signal.

There are two styles of displays available for these meters. Our Super-VU style is available in the 5.1 format meter (model SV51) and also 7.1 (the SV71). Each bargraph is composed of 40 tri-color LEDs with true 300ms VU ballistics and simultaneous peak indication and hold. A display brightness control allows matching the display to room lighting conditions.

For greater resolution, try the versions with our Ultra-VU style display. (models UV51 & UV71). Each bargraph is composed of 62 LEDs with true 300ms VU ballistics with simultaneous peak indications and hold. This display also has a clip indicator. Several operating modes are selectable from the front panel including loudness filter and fine resolution. These are our highest resolution meters which can reduce visual fatigue during long mixing sessions.
